I got this for my friend’s birthday. When he opened it, I could tell by his face I'd nailed the perfect gift.
He's always been into Japanese culture, so I chose The Dragon King mousepad. The moment he saw it, he spent 10 minutes just appreciating all the intricate details.
The artwork is genuinely beautiful. Every detail is perfect, and you can instantly feel the premium quality just by touching it (much better than other Amazon mousepads I got in the past).

I recently purchased a mousepad with the topographic styling. I love this as I’m studying to be an architect and topography is something which is critical when designing! It’s symbolic of the journey I’m on. I was first drawn to the ikogai as I love traditional Japanese art, I have it on my wall and tattooed on my arm and leg! The mousepad is very high quality from the feel to the print. I’ll be purchasing some wall scrolls soon for sure! Highly recommend the mousepads!

Full PA66 nylon housing — top and bottom. Most premium linears use polycarbonate on top, which gives a brighter, sharper sound. Nylon absorbs more of that high-frequency resonance, producing a deeper, denser tone. The textured top housing adds another layer of dampening. The result is one of the most muted, full-sounding linears available without needing foam or tape mods.
Primarily typing and long sessions. 45g actuation is light, 2.0mm pre-travel is standard, 3.9mm total travel is slightly longer than most — the Sonja rewards a deliberate typing style and sounds exceptional on every keystroke. It is usable for gaming but not optimised for ultra-fast actuation the way a 0.9mm pre-travel switch like the Raptor MX Extreme is.
No — they come factory lubed with GPL105 and GPL205 and are ready to install. If you want to push further, a thin application of 205g0 on the stem rails will make an already smooth switch even silkier. The nylon housing does not need lubing — it is naturally lower-friction than polycarbonate.
KOS (Keep On Spring) is HMX's extended-length spring format — at 22mm it sits longer inside the switch than a standard spring. Longer springs have more room to compress gradually, which reduces the sudden weight spike some switches have near bottom-out. The Sonja's weight curve is smooth and even from first contact to the end of travel.
